Great piece that needs a second read. Camp was a tough theme since it’s difficult to define and if it’s center in an arena of people who aren’t familiar, few would get a passing grade.

Is it possible that there is an underlying whiteness by default when we talk about camp — that automatically looks at the racial other as "camp"? More to think about!
Whew! Truly a deeper level to ponder. I always think of the ballroom beginnings and their influence on culture, drag, performance, and camp. Where are the queer libraries so I can read about this? 😩
