I feel like there’s a whole world I have not seen yet. Wow.

Great piece that needs a second read. Camp was a tough theme since it’s difficult to define and if it’s center in an arena of people who aren’t familiar, few would get a passing grade.

Thank you Chevanne for reading and the kind words! I want to push deeper into how racial identities and backgrounds might give shape to different kinds of camp? Is it possible that there is an underlying whiteness by default when we talk about camp — that automatically looks at the racial other as "camp"? More to think about!

Whew! Truly a deeper level to ponder. I always think of the ballroom beginnings and their influence on culture, drag, performance, and camp. Where are the queer libraries so I can read about this? 😩
